CONNECTION CONVERSATIONS

The Bridge ATX Connection Camp helped 40% of the participants find jobs within 6 weeks of taking the class. All of these job seekers had been looking for 6 - 8 months before taking the class. We have discovered that people are at different stages in their job search and understanding of the process, so we have decided to break out the Connection Camp into "Connection Conversations" so that you can come and pick only the conversations that are the most interesting to you at a more affordable price.

All classes will be offered for $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Each class you attend gives you a $5 discount towards a future class. Scholarships are available (see below).

"On the Hunt" - Finding Companies in your Target Market

Most Job Seekers can not tell you their top 10 companies that they are targetting. Most Job Seekers don't even know where to even look to find those companies. If you are one of those job seekers, this is the class for you. Pull yourself away from the "apply" button and come out and find out how to create your Top 10 list.

In this class we will also discuss WHY it is so important for you to have a top 10 list. FOCUS = RESULTS and we'll prove it to you.

"Blogs, Twitter and Other Social Creatures" - How to use Social Media in your Job Search

Social Media is a very new technology. Lots of people have signed on and played and left without really understanding any of it. Come learn more information about how Social Media can help you in your job search. We'll focus in on how to communicate to Mass Markets and become a Subject Matter Expert in your field. We'll also outline when to use each technology and which technology is right for you.

"The Executive Search" - One Position, One Job

This class is purely for people who are seeking to find manager level and above positions in an organization. We will go through exactly how the job search is different for an executive who is on the hunt. We'll discuss a variety of different strategies to make your search more effective.

"6 Degrees of Separation" - Tricks to Using Linked In Effectively in your Job Search

So, you've heard you need to be on this Linked In thing. Maybe you've even signed up and created an account. However, if you are not incorporating Linked In in your daily Job Search then you are missing out on a very valuable resource that will help you find your next job. This class will cover all of the different ways that you can use this tool effectively. At Connection Camp, even advanced Linked In users learned new tools for their tool box.

If you would like, you can bring your laptop to work on Linked In in real time. However, this is not required.

"Can You Hear Me Now?" - How to use your friends and family to get you your next job

Nothing is better than a personal connection when it comes to finding your next job. Come and learn how you can address all of your friends and family without wounding your pride. Templates will be provided to allow you to create open discussions that will lead to results.

"Business Card Collage" - How to make real connections at networking events

Frequently, we feel like we are gathering piles and piles of business cards with no idea of what to do with them. We may run through hundreds of our own business cards without any results. This conversation is geared towards learning how to connect more effectively when you are at a networking event.

All attendees of this class will be granted access to the next Bridge ATX Monthly Networking Event for $5 so that they can practice and perfect these skills.

ADDITIONAL LOCATION AND CLASS INFORMATION

Each class must have at least 5 people sign up before the class is secured and the location is set. Please sign up if you are interested - otherwise the class is subject to cancellation. Your money will be refunded (or can be used on another class)if the class is cancelled.

The class will be held at Genuine Joe's Coffee Shop on Anderson Lane, unless you hear otherwise. The location may change as class size grows.

Handouts will be available for each class.

If you would like to build a small network amongst the other attendees, please plan to come a little before or stay a little after class.

Future classes will be set up on an "as requested basis".

SCHOLARSHIPS

Bridge ATX will offer a limited number of scholarships based on need. For every 5 people who sign up a scholarship seat will become available. To participate in the scholarship program - please send an email to Scholarships@BridgeATX.com and indicate why you should be considered for a scholarship seat.

You can also be granted a scholarship seat if you have 3 people who sign up for the class based on your referral.
